I’ve always wanted to be a writer, photographer or artist. However, I’ve lacked the confidence to express myself. I’m taking Mark Twain’s advice: “write what you know.” For me that is bicycles.
Some friends introduced me to cycling in college and I found it to be the perfect outlet for my unwavering energy and inability to sit still. On a whim I entered bike races and found myself to be ok at it, something that surprised me due to my lack of athleticism in high school.
For about a decade, I raced cyclocross and cross-country until growing bored with it. After quitting racing I spent as much time as possible exploring new trails on my mountain bike. These days I enjoy spending as much time in the mountains. It’s the right combination of nature and machine.
Two and a half years ago I relocated to Western North Carolina to enjoy year round mountain biking in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
For this blog expect content centered around cycling in Western North Carolina, product reviews and whatever else I get myself into.
